Hi, I’m Isabelly. I’m a geneticist researching paediatric cataract — a rare condition that can cause blindness in children. I’ve loved science for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was always asking questions, reading everything I could find, and staying up too late watching The X-Files, convinced the truth really was out there. That curiosity never left me. Today, I study how changes in our genes — especially those affecting the eye lens — can lead to cataracts in early life. My goal is to help improve diagnosis, support families, and contribute to better care for affected children.
