When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets to Beaker Street Festival events are on sale from 28 May 2026.
How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets to Beaker Street Festival 2026 can be purchased online at tickets.beakerstreet.com.au
Tickets for some events may be available on the door, subject to capacity. More information will be available closer to the festival.
Are there any discounts?
There are multiple discount types available for Beaker Street Festival events in 2026.
City Hall Shows
Guests who purchase tickets to three events held at Hobart City Hall in one transaction receive a 15% discount on their order.
Concession Tickets
Beaker Street Festival offers concession tickets for anyone who needs them, available as a ticket type option to many of our events. Please note that paying full price helps us keep the festival accessible, so if you’re able to pay in full, please do.
Do I need a ticket to attend free events?
Free events at Beaker Street Festival do not require tickets for admission. However, entry into each event is subject to capacity.
The event I want to attend is sold out. Will there be more tickets released?
When events sell out, make sure to join the waitlist on the event’s ticket purchase page. If further tickets are released, waitlist members will be contacted by email.
Can I choose my seats?
All seated events at Beaker Street Festival are unreserved, unless stated otherwise. Make sure you arrive early for your event for the best chance to secure a great seat.
Your tickets
How will I receive my tickets?
When tickets are purchased, they are immediately sent to the email address that was entered during the ticket purchase process. Make sure you double-check your email address is correct before purchasing, and check your spam/junk folder if you can’t find your tickets.
If you have used Apple Pay, tickets are sent to the email address connected to your Apple Pay account.
I can’t find my ticket, what do I do?
If you can’t find your tickets within your email inbox or spam/junk folder, you can find them in your account:
1. Log in to your Beaker Street account using the same email address you used to purchase your tickets.
2. Go to Tickets.
3. Select the tickets you would like to view
4. Select View, View (Mobile) or add to your Wallet if on a mobile device

Do I need to print my tickets?
There is no need to print your tickets. You can simply show them on your mobile device for entry. We encourage digital tickets wherever possible to reduce paper use and keep things moving quickly at the door. If you do prefer to bring along a printed copy, that’s fine too.
Does every person require a ticket?
Yes, every person attending a ticketed event needs their own ticket, regardless of age. It helps us manage capacity, keep things safe, and make sure everyone has a good time.
Changes, Refunds + Exchanges
Can I exchange my ticket for another event?
Ticket holders can use the self-service ticket exchange to transfer their ticket to another Beaker Street Festival event. This service is available until 9 July, after which point you’ll have the option of putting your ticket up for re-sale. Details will be provided from that date.
How to exchange your ticket:
- Log in to your Beaker Street account using the same email address you used to purchase your tickets.
- Go to Tickets.
- Select the ticket or tickets you would like to exchange.
- Choose your new ticket or tickets, then complete the checkout process as usual.
Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?
Beaker Street Festival offers refunds for ticket holders who can’t attend their chosen event, up to 9 July. Ticket holders should contact [email protected] to request refunds.
This service is available until 9 July, after which point you’ll have the option of putting your ticket up for re-sale. Details will be provided from that date.
In line with the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice, booking fees are not refundable. Beaker Street reserves the right to refuse refunds.
Can I transfer my tickets to someone else?
Yes, in general, you can, but please note all event-related information will be sent to the ticket purchaser, so make sure to pass along any pre-event emails. If you’ve selected particular dietary preferences and these need to be updated, email us at [email protected]. (Noting dietary preferences cannot be changed less than 15 days out from the event.) If you do transfer your ticket to someone, make sure they have the ticket (on a device is fine) and they are aware of whose name the ticket is under.
Attending the Festival
When should I arrive?
For most events, doors will open 15 minutes prior to the advertised event start time.
What should I bring along?
Some events such as field trips, dinners and tours have specific requirements for what you should bring with you. Ticket holders will receive information by email before their event with key details.
Are there any age restrictions?
Beaker Street Festival is designed for curious adults, so most events are aimed at a mature audience. Some events are family-friendly, and you can find these by filtering the program. Underage patrons must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
Unless otherwise stated, patrons under the age of 18 are welcome to attend events. However, this is at the discretion of their parent/guardian and you are encouraged to check the event description carefully.
Accessibility + Inclusion
Are venues accessible?
Accessibility provisions vary depending on the venue. Details are provided on each event page, including information on access, seating, and facilities. If you have specific requirements, get in touch with us by email: [email protected].
Auslan interpretation is available for all headline shows in Hobart City Hall. Further event accessibility information will be available soon.
Do you accept companion cards?
Beaker Street Festival accepts valid, government issued companion cards for events that we run directly. To request companion tickets, card holders must contact the festival by email prior to the event: [email protected]
The availability of companion card tickets is subject to venue capacity. For events that are run by external operators, we can forward your request but we cannot guarantee the availability of companion tickets.
What is the ‘A Seat at the Table’ program?
Beaker Street’s pay-it-forward initiative ‘A Seat at the Table’ helps make our science and art offerings accessible to those who can’t afford to purchase a ticket.
If you would like to request a ticket through this program, fill out the form here. While we endeavour to fulfil as many requests as possible, access to the pool of tickets through this program is not guaranteed.
Applications to this program will close on 9 July. Tickets will be issued on or before 24 July.
