I am an environmental engineer specialising in environmental remediation in some of the world’s most remote and challenging environments. In Antarctica, I focus on developing and applying remediation technologies for cold climate ecosystems. My work at Australian Antarctic stations centres on remediating legacy fuel spills and waste: designing and trialling treatment approaches that can function in freezing temperatures, limited infrastructure, and highly sensitive environments. This includes site investigation, field-based treatment trials, and long-term environmental monitoring to track recovery and reduce ecological risk. My contributions have helped improve how contamination is assessed, contained, and remediated in polar regions, supporting more sustainable operations on the continent.
