I’m a first-year marine science PhD student originally from New Zealand. I’m currently researching the genetics of shearwaters (AKA muttonbirds) found along Australia’s east coast. My project uses genetic data to work out how shearwater breeding colonies are connected, and to investigate how these sassy seabirds might adapt to specific local conditions. Previously I’ve also worked on genetics and disease susceptibility in sea lions, so feel free to ask me about that too!
