Bushfires are one of Australia’s greatest environmental challenges, and my work focuses on understanding how fire behaves and how we can better prepare for it. Through the Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife Service, I contribute to bushfire suppression and fuel reduction while researching fire behaviour, environmental management, and fire science. As climate change increases the frequency and severity of bushfires, my research explores ways to improve firefighter safety, protect communities, and build more resilient landscapes through science, evidence, and practical land management.
