I am a soil scientist and irrigation researcher at the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture, University of Tasmania. My work focuses on improving irrigation performance by understanding how water moves through soils and how much of the applied water is effectively stored in the root zone for plant use. I combine field measurements, soil physics, and practical on-farm research to help farmers improve water productivity, reduce losses such as runoff and deep drainage, and build more resilient agricultural systems. My research supports sustainable irrigation management in Tasmania.
