Jaime Pryor

I’m a PhD student at the University of Sydney, supervised by Professor David Reilly, working on superconducting single-photon detectors. These nanoscale devices are so sensitive they can register single particles of light with near-perfect efficiency, and they operate at temperatures colder than outer space. My research focuses on how we can integrate thousands of these detectors in one system, to enable advances in astronomical imaging, quantum computing, ultra-sensitive optical measurements, and more.
