My work at NRE Tas as a Fishing Engagement Coordinator is to improve ocean literacy of Tasmanian marine fishers. I am passionate about educating the public on the interactions between fish biology, fishing practices, and the broader marine environment, such as ocean warming, invasive species, and industry. I encourage everyone to ask me about my favourite fishy facts, such as what ear bones can tell us about the future of a fishery, why urchins wear hats, and how a fish’s tail shape can show you how to catch them!
