I am interested in understanding the distribution of fish in relation to their habitat and how this is being influenced by climate change, fisheries management, and marine parks. I use a combination novel underwater video technologies to collect imagery and data from the field and new statistical approaches to understand the distribution of fish in relation to habitat type and environmental factors. My research takes me from the Southern Ocean to deep mesophotic reefs off Australia.
