Beaker Street Festival is for everyone. If you need support to access our offerings, we’re here to help.
We’re committed to creating events that are welcoming, accessible, and representative of the wonderfully diverse community we serve. That means programming that reflects a range of voices and perspectives, and doing the work to ensure everyone can take part — physically, culturally, and financially.
A Seat at the Table
Beaker Street’s pay-it-forward initiative, A Seat at the Table, helps make our science and art offerings accessible to those who can’t afford to purchase a ticket.
If you’d like to request one or two free tickets, please let us know. If we can offer you a seat, we’ll notify you by email.
Companion Card
We offer free companion tickets to companion card holders to many of our events. Events that are hosted by external operators may not be eligible, but we can often offer cost-price companion tickets for events such as tours and dinners.
If you hold a government-issued companion card and need a companion ticket, please email [email protected].
Auslan Interpretation
Auslan Interpretation is available at all our Main Stage events at Hobart City Hall, plus Dr Karl in Devonport. The Seismic Dance Party will also have Auslan Interpretation, as well as Vibro-Tactile Haptic Vests which enable participants to experience music through vibrations.
Quiet Space
During the key Festival weekend, a free Quiet Space will be open inside the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.
Free Events
Every year, we offer an incredible range of free events to make it easier for everyone to get involved. You can check them out here.
