Dr Jennifer Lavers

Jenn (Métis Nation) coordinates Adrift Lab, where the research undertaken by our wonderful team focuses on traditional (Indigenous) knowledge, and using wild species, especially birds, as sentinels of physical and chemical pollution in the environment. Islands also feature at Adrift Lab, as remote areas can act as natural ‘controls’. Jennifer invests significant time in science communication, including feature roles in documentary films such as A Plastic Ocean, BLUE, and Drowning in Plastic.

Prof Philip Boyd

Philip Boyd is a professor of Marine Biogeochemistry at IMAS (UTAS) in Hobart. He was a lead author on the Oceans chapters of the IPCC 2014 and 2022 reports, and is the coordinator of the virtual institute for climate solutions CRI — Climate Recovery Institute.

MC Rhys Muldoon

Rhys Muldoon is a writer, actor, radio host, journalist, broadcaster, commentator, political pundit and speech writer, author, musician, voice artist, facilitator and public speaker with more than 30 years experience working in film, radio, television ,stage, newspapers, politics, business and new media. He is married to both his wife and a cat.
